It’s not only Monday, loves, but it’s President’s Day and some of you have a day off. I miss working and looking forward to those awesome 3 days weekends. If you are home and reading this, then I hope you are having a relaxing day with your family and friends.
If you are in the North East freezing your butt off, settle in and find out what happened this week.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday. I love this last night of Football for the season. We were invited to the Shuping’s for some fun and gambling. That combination is a winner to me. There was a Chili cook off and of course I didn’t win. I don’t consider myself a stellar cook, I’m ok.
Congrats to the Broncos. I couldn’t care either way who won but I’m happy for them and Peyton Manning.
I got to go with Jenny and Dorothy to a Paint and Sip at VINE Wine Bar and Shop. The Vine hosts Art Uncorked a few times a month so you can go and paint certain portraits. No experience necessary which is good for me. I’m bad at drawing and painting but with instruction, I can do a decent job. This a photo of the Navarre Beach Bridge. Great keep-sake for when we PCS out of the area.
My beautiful kitty at the vet. She had stopped eating so we knew something was wrong. I wasn’t really expecting to find out that she was dying from complete kidney failure. This is pretty much where my week went to shit.
Spending her last full day in the sun. Did mine and Evan’s heart good to see her lying in the sun just loving life. She was still getting around, but slowly. She’d try to eat but couldn’t. We were heartbroken watching her deteriorate before our eyes. I spent the entire day with her, she laid in my lap for a couple of hours which was really nice. I talked to her and pet her cute little head many times.
I won’t talk about that day here but I have already disclosed it in a blog post from Friday if you want to read it. I will say, our Calypso is greatly missed.
Our amazing friends the Jarvis are leaving active duty military and going into the guard…not the guard here, but in Pennsylvania :(. This is our last week or so to spend with them so we headed to Destin to have some dinner at The Craft Bar which was amazing, and catch a movie. DeadPool was really good, entertaining as hell and I understand the R rating now. Just because it’s Marvel doesn’t mean you should bring the kids. We had a great time; won’t be forgetting it any time soon.
We are really hoping next week brings us more happiness than this past week. I have some doctors appointments coming up and will be doing a medicated cycle with a trigger shot. I’ll explain in a blog at a later time when I give you an update.
As always Angels, I hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend for those who have one and most importantly, have a great week. I love you guys.
