SECOND TRIMESTER MUST HAVES:
AngQi Unique U Shaped Full Pregnancy Body Pillow //Palmer’s Cocoa Butter//Tums Antacid//Hydro Flask//Kindred Bravely French Terry Racerback Nursing Sleep Bra
Hello 20-week baby! You sure have made your appearance and presence know. I started to really feel your kicks about 2 weeks ago and you haven’t let up since. Now that we are well into the second trimester, this momma needs things. Sure at the start, all I really needed was some nausea meds and a ginger-ale but now sleeping and comfort are the main events now. Here are some current items on my ever growing wish list. I’ll call this the second trimester of pregnancy must haves.
5 ESSENTIAL SECOND TRIMESTER MUST HAVES
PREGNANCY PILLOW– I can’t stress enough how amazing this AngQi Unique U Shaped Full Pregnancy Body Pillow really is. Once your low belly starts feeling full and heavy, it’s hard to get comfortable in bed. You really need that extra support to get a good night sleep. You can try and make it through your pregnancy without one, but I seriously wouldn’t recommend it.
COCOA BUTTER- Pregnancies little-partying gifts to you is the lovely stretch marks it leaves behind, an everlasting reminder of the baby you’re grew in your belly for 9 months. Lordy lord, I hate these little badges of honor but sadly, sometimes they can’t be avoided. All you can really do is try and help your skin stretch with some grace and apply Palmer’s Cocoa Butter every night before bed. With this lovely gem, I avoided stretch marks all together in my first pregnancy, I’m hoping to be able to do that again this time around.
ANTACID- Oh yes baby feel the burn…no I’m not talking about your Orange Theory class on Tuesdays. I’m talking about the lovely heartburn you get when the baby starts pushing your stomach into your diaphragm. Sadly just like stretch marks, this really can’t be avoided. Tums Antacid is my best friend for the next “however many weeks” I have left. They also have extra calcium which I need because I’m taking blood thinners. They taste pretty good, too.
LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER- I don’t know about you but since I hit 12 weeks I’ve been super, super thirsty all the times. I can’t get enough water to drink and need it with me at all time. This Hydro Flask has been my BBF for sure. It keeps my water super cold because the ice I put in it at night is still there the next evening….Mind blowing! By far the best water container I’ve ever used and definitely worth the money!
COMFY BRAS- You may have noticed once you hit your second trimester (hell maybe since the moment you were pregnant) that your boobs just don’t feel right in that wire bra anymore. It’s probably the most uncomfortable thing you ever felt and mama, it’s only going to get worst. You need to start investing in some good materinty bras that will take you from pregancy to breastfeeding (if that’s what you want to do). My absolute pick is the Kindred Bravely French Terry Racerback Nursing Sleep Bra. Holy comfortable! Nothing pinching you at all, just complete and utter support. You’ll feel like your boobs are floating on air!
I really hope these 5 must haves help you out in your second trimester and beyond because let’s be honest, you are going to want them to continue on in your third trimester as well.
Am I missing something? What was one must have you needed in your pregnancy I didn’t mention?
