Very recently, I went on a trip all by myself to attend MommyCon in Philadelphia. Since we bought the RV last year, flying and being on my own aren’t things that really happen anymore. I always pack a little different depending on if I’m flying or driving, but these 7 travel essentials never change.
7 Must Have Travel Essentials
Carry On- Even when I need to tote a diaper bag around with me, I always bring my Michael Kors Voyager Medium Leather Shoulder Tote Bag to hold my must have items. I do sometimes travel with my laptop if I have a deadline while we are away and middle pocket is perfect for housing my MacBook.
iPad- I don’t always carry my MacBook but I always have my Apple iPad Pro on hand. It’s great for watching movies or doing some light work on the go. I use my Apple Pencil a lot with it to take notes or color. Oh yes, there are apps you can download that are like coloring books. It’s a great all-in-one light machine. Perfect and a must have as a travel essential.
Earbuds- I wasn’t sold on these when they first came out because I really thought they looked odd but now that I’ve tried them, I can’t live without my Apple AirPods. They connect instantly when I open the case to my iPhone, iPad, or my MacBook without having to pair them every time I use them. They have wonderful sound quality and they pause your music or movie when taking one out of your ears. Seriously, they are fantastic and I recommend them if you are looking for a wireless listening experience.
Easy Travel Wallet- This little Kate Spade Wallet is just perfect if you are looking for something small and accessible. Its great to have your ID and bank card ready and at hand. I was in and out of security checks in a flash because I was able to easily pull my ID out. The small size also meant that I could put it in a little pocket in my tote for easy access and storage.
Travel Pillow- No matter what form of travel, I always fall asleep. Don’t judge it’s just my thing. Learning that you don’t get motion sickness when you sleep meant I trained myself to go straight to sleep when the travel started. Easy enough to fall asleep on a plane but not so easy to stay that way in the long run because it does tend to get really uncomfortable. Cabeau Evolution Memory Foam Travel Pillow to the rescue. Don’t leave home without, a must have travel essential.
Portable Charger- Airports and cars do have ways to charge your electronics on the go but I hate having to depend on them. Do you want to be that guy that has to stand near an outlet to get some juice on your phone? No, for the love of God, don’t be that guy. Belkin Pocket Power Ultra Slim Portable Charger will get the job done and no need to be sitting on the floor with a cord attached to the wall.
Hand Sanitizer- I don’t consider myself a germ-a-phobia but ugh airports are really dirty, nasty places. So many people in a small space and goodness who knows if anyone is washing their hands after using the restrooms. If there was ever a time to need Hand Sanitizer by The Honest Company, the time is now! Helps that it smells amazing too.
