Happy Monday Loves, thanks for coming back for another week in review.
It was the last week in February and normal I wouldn’t consider it a busy time of year but I feel like a lot happened. My iPhone pictures say otherwise but I’ll recap the best I can.
It was the last day of Evan’s vacation and we got the call to come pick up Calypso’s ashes. I felt all the pain rushing back into my heart. I also felt comfort, we were bring Calypso back home to stay with us forever. Of course, it’s not the same, she’s in a different form but she’s home. I can certainly feel her spirit around me and I know she’s in a safe and happy place.
You may remember me mentioned our good friends, The Jarvis Family, was leaving us to go live in PA. Well, they finally departed Wednesday but they stayed the night at our house for a good ole fashion SLEEP OVER!! It was a good time and we got this final shot of us and the Tuckers to capture the moment. One thing I hate about military life is the moves and having to say goodbye to good friends. It’s also the reason I get to meet so many amazing people but it’s a catch 22 for sure. This is a time I’ll never forget and I have this picture to prove it happened. Love you guys! See you when I’m up in your neck of the woods!
After I made pancakes and bacon for the Jarvis family, I had to run to a fertility appointment. After 5 days of the oral medication, I was told I had 4 good follicles and it was time to start SHOTS!!! No, not the awesome kind but the kind that are a pain in the ass….I mean stomach. Last year was the first time I had to give myself an injection. I remember holding the needle to my stomach for 10 minutes before I could get the courage to push it in. When I did, it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought, it was all mental really so don’t feel bad for me. It’s really a piece of cake and needles don’t scare me. I did this for 2 days and went back for an ultrasound on Friday to see how my follicles were responding. The two on my left ovary did amazing, the 2 on my right, not so much so I had 2 follicles ready to go so we triggered on Friday. Now the dreaded wait begins. Only 11 more days and counting.
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You most likely saw this on FB maybe but I’m still pretty upset about it. I was taking off my watch to charge it when it fell off my wrist and down to the floor. It must have hit it in just right place because it cracked, horribly. Not even in a way I could still use it. If you know me, you know I love my electronics so the pain is really. It’s going to cost almost as much as a new one to replace so I’m just going to wait for the next generation to come out and get that one. I miss my watch so much.
I hope you guys saw how to make this yummy treat on Friday, if not you can click here. I’m not a big fan of baked apples but this was a delicious sweet treat that I will be making for Evan and I.
So my angels, Spring is coming and in a hurry. I can’t wait. The weather here right now is so beautiful but there is something about longer days and that first day of Spring. How will you be spending your first week of March? I’d love to know in the comment.
Have an amazing week and remember I love you all.
